A New Shore Leader!
Leader for sound economic policies that foster economic development and create jobs. As a small business owner and lawyer on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Chris Robinson understands the importance of economic policies that encourage businesses to prosper and grow. We need jobs on the Shore that allow those who live in our community to earn a living wage and care for the needs of their families.
Advocate for environmental conservation and returning the Chesapeake Bay, our creeks and rivers to their once pristine quality. Chris Robinson was instrumental in drafting legislation to clean up the Chesapeake Bay, combat erosion in Ocean City and protect the oyster industry while working as a Congressional aide representing Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Protecting the environment and restoring the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries to good health is vital to the economic vitality of the Shore and the vibrant ecosystem it supports.
Champion for excellence in education. Chris Robinson believes that a well educated, skilled workforce is essential to the economic strength of our community. The Eastern Shore must be able to compete in a growing, competitive global market. A first rate education, whether academic or vocational, is absolutely essential to meeting the complex challenges we face today. Early involvement of parents, better pay for teachers, expansion of early education, a renewed emphasis on vocational education are all key components in the campaign for excellence in education.
Activist for quality health care. Chris Robinson believes that access to quality health care services on the Eastern Shore must be a top priority.
Advocate for vital services in our community. A reliable transportation infrastructure and affordable broadband communications are essential to attract new businesses to the Shore and retain jobs.
“Our greatest challenge is promoting economic opportunity while preserving our unique natural resources and cultural heritage for future generations. As a fiscal conservative, I will fight for sound economic policies that foster economic development and create jobs. As your Senator, I will be a tireless advocate for Maryland farmers, watermen and seniors –citizens from all walks of life on the Shore. I will fight to restore our Chesapeake Bay to a healthy state and provide access to quality health care here on the Shore.
If you share these goals, I ask you to support my candidacy for the Democratic nomination for Senate, 37 and for your vote in Maryland’s general election on November 2.”
